Client FAQs

Where can I buy remedies?

The following is a list of homeopathic pharmacies:

  • OHM Pharma – Lactose free remedies. Best option for purchasing mixed remedies. Rooted Homeopathy consult clients are eligible for an account at OHM. If you requested an account from OHM, it can take a few days for them to process the request. Watch your email for your account information.

  • Boiron – You can order directly from Boiron or reseller locally or online.

  • Ollois – Lactose free remedies. Use this link and the code ROOTED for 15% off.

  • Helios – Manufactured and shipped from the UK. One of the best value for the price options.

  • Hyland’s – Most known for their cell salts.

  • There are other reputable pharmacies, but these are pharmacies that I have used personally. Look for HPUS on the label of the remedy.

  • Some recommendations can be found through my Amazon Storefront. If you choose to purchase from Amazon, verify the manufacturer label for the name and potency of the remedy that is sent to you, not just Amazon’s warehouse picking label.

How do I take homeopathic remedies?

Pellets: It is best to not touch the remedies with your hands. Dispense them from the cap. Tap the recommended number of pellets into the cap and dump them into your mouth. If you’ve purchase from a pharmacy like OHM or Boiron that have a dispenser cap, with the cap on, turn the bottle upside down and twist the cap until the number of pellets needed has been dispensed into the cap. Carefully remove the cap and dump the pellets into your mouth.

Liquid: Follow the recommended dispensing on the bottle. Usually this is a certain number of drops in water and drink.

How many pellets are in a dose?

There are several schools of thought on this. At Rooted, we believe that the manufacturing pharmacy knows best. They have done research on this! In general, we suggest that you follow the pharmacy’s recommended number of pellets in a dose. Often their recommendations are between 3-5 pellets.

What does one dose of Camphor for one day mean?

At Rooted, we regularly recommend one dose of Camphor to open a chronic wellness case. This means that on day one, you will take one dose of the pharmacy-recommended number of pellets and then stop. No more Camphor! Tuck that bottle away somewhere safe in case you need it in the future. Start the rest of your recommended remedies 24 hours later on day 2.

Can I take homeopathic remedies for acute issues while taking remedies for chronic wellness?

In general, yes. If the acute is severe, it might be best to pause your chronic protocol, handle the acute situation, and then resume your chronic remedies. If you need help, please contact me via chat in the portal. Acute care support via chat is included until your next appointment or for 10 weeks following your previous appointment.

Can I also start herbs and supplements and....?

It is best practice to minimize the number of changes that you make when starting homeopathic remedies so you can see what is acting. Avoid making large diet changes, or adding herbs or vitamins, or supplements. This also includes using other healing modalities like acupuncture, etc. Continue any of these things that you have already been using or doing, especially medications prescribed by a doctor.

How often should I take the remedies?

Follow the manufacturing pharmacy’s recommendation for the number of pellets or drops in a dose, but use the frequency recommendation (twice a day, once a day, every other day, etc) in the schedule recommendation I gave you in your post-appointment notes.

How long should I wait between remedies? What about food and drink?

Allow a minimum of 5 minutes between each remedy, food, beverage, toothpaste, etc, but 15-30 minutes is more ideal. You want a clean mouth so that the remedies can come into contact with the mucosal membranes of your mouth and fully act. Be sure to use the cap to dispense and avoid touching the remedies with your hands.

Should I continue my medications?

YES! Keep taking any medications prescribed by your doctor. If you desire to discontinue any medications, please work with your prescribing doctor to do so.

When should I contact you via chat?

Check the FAQs first for an answer to your question, but then you may contact me via chat if you have any questions or concerns. If you experience something concerning that is a new symptom or if you have an extreme intensification of symptoms that is troublesome and doesn’t go away in a reasonable period of time, please contact me.
